Caricature for Robb Smith 5oth birthday

I have had the honor of being able to do a Caricature portrait of Robb Smith with Robb Smith Productions. He is a friend and a business partner, so when he asked me to work at his roast for his 50th birthday party and do his portrait, I just knew I had to do the best with time allowed. I suggested he get the logo put on buttons for guest to receive at the event! Well here we go, I am on to a project for a fundraiser for LYON Shared. Have a blessed Sunday and please do keep in touch and comment on my work if you like thanks!

BEAUTIFUL LOSERS

Really cool movie and brings back the real reason I love art and its culture! Yes I started in the tagging, hip-hop culture and went in the art direction. Don't ever forget where you come from and learn from your mistakes!

David Gilmour and more of Pink Floyd

This morning I did a sketch of David Gilmour and hope to be able to touch it up a little more later if I get a feed back for you my friends, to see if it is worth it? What other Colors should I have Put a pig hanging in the back ground?  Have a great night! Call any time at 727-422-0668 or go to my website www.larserarts.com

Longfellow management Group Caricature Illustration

This project was another challenge as they all seem to be, but I learn with every job. Sometimes I feel like I work for to long with my underpainting, but it also %60 of the painting and the rest is touching up and cleanup. This was pass over by my fellow artist friend Rob smith jr in Orlando, Fl. so thank you so much!

Arnie The Christmas Pig rough sketches

Here are some rough sketches on my Children's book. I thought I would share some of the drawings and rough ideas on the following text of the beginning of the book! Going to the Clearwatewr Beach Pier 60 Sunset festival tonight!
Arnie the Christmas Pig
By
Blair Hurm

There once was a pig named Arnie
Who lived on a farm near Atlanta
And all of his life young Arnie had dreamed
That one day he would be Santa:

The other pigs just laughed at him
It hurt him to hear their reply
You can’t make St. Nick out of a pig
But Arnie knew he had to try:

First Caricature sketch on my new Wacom Cintiq 32 hd

I did this Caricature sketch of a facebook friend Lars Larsson to play on my new Wacom Cintiq 22 Hd. I hope to be able to touch it up a little more at a later time, I thought it be great to draw him because he looks so much like Ozzy Ozborne

Breaking the Time Barrier (Rethinking the way to price my services)

Hello everyone.
I just wanted to say I have been truly blessed to have met some great clients over my 18 years of being in business, and that I have always had a difficult time trying to set a price to my service to be competitive in the market. I have been reading this book
FreshBooks.com/BreakingtheTimeBarrier
"The value of what I do is based on the impact I can have on my client's business." Download:
I totally recommend the read and I believe it changed the way I view my way to approach my clients needs and price my value of my services.

“When you look inward and push yourself to come up with ways to serve your clients, you end up redefining what you do and expanding your services.”

I am so honored to announce my fellow artist friend Thomas Fluharty new children's book! Repeat Clients 10 years later.

I was asked by Patty Sebok who is a partner with Deirdre Cavener with Kiss marketing. Deirdre is having a birthday party for her today. The ironic thing is I believe I did the last Caricature of her 10 years ago, and trade with Florida Barter. I was asked to include the following details:
Golf
Dogs (2, will send pic)
Daughters (2 will send pic)
Body Builder
Country Music Fan
Computer Geek (we own a internet marketing co)
Loves to read (knowledge junkie)
Loves to bike ride (bicycle, not motorcycle:-)

Here is how it came out I used my favorite brush pen by Pentel GFKP, and scanned in to color in photoshop. I hope everyone had a great day, and keep your eye on this blog when I share my new art equipment with the Wacom Cintiq 22hd on Monday!
