Week 1: First thing will be all set up for a retail style Caricature booth with display and all. I would then like to draw Eileen Crowell Largo Arts Cordinator  (or someone else in the class whom ever is first) to get there Caricature drawn. I will have the drawing recorded and to be projected on a screen projector. They can observe the 5-7 quick Caricature in Black and white, and then another 5- minutes to add the color. I will then ask them to draw each other on the spot, get to know each other, and also so I can see the level of the students. The rest of the day talk history, foundations, and they will receive a sheet on how to build there own easel!

week2: Importance of seeing shapes, squinting, sketching  from a photographs critiques by the end of Class.

Patriot Pen Essay by son

I just had to share my pride with my son, and here is something he wrote about our founding fathers! Sean you rock, I am soo blessed to have you in my life!

My Declaration of
Thanks to the Founding Fathers

Every morning in first period I put my hand over my heart and recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Then every morning I sit back down and continue on with my day. Today though, I sat back down and actually thought about the meaning of those words, “And to the republic for which it stands one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” My mind began to think about how we became one nation under God, indivisible and with liberty and justice for all. My mind wondered to an actual image of the founding fathers: the great men and women who helped mold this country into what it is today.
The Founding Fathers stood up for the rights they believed they should have. And ever since their time that is what America has been and will always continue to be. Because of their bravery and boldness it has molded all of our lives, whether we think so or not. America has become the envy of the world… a place where we can speak freely, believe freely, and decide freely. With all of the credit and thanks given to the Founding Fathers.
One of my favorite quotes, from one our Founding Fathers: A people... who are possessed of the spirit of commerce, who see and who will pursue their advantages may achieve almost anything.                                                                  George Washington, letter to Benjamin Harrison, October 10, 1784
If I could only say but one thing to the founding fathers it would be, “Thank you.” (What a surprise, I am sure you don’t hear that too often) But this is not just, “Thank you for making this country, its so great blah blah” This is a, “Thank you for making this country so great that not only makes its inhabitants joyous to live here, it makes foreigners so anxious to want to live here. So much so that they will sometimes even risk their lives to come over and live in our great big ‘melting pot.’ With a deep expression of gratitude, “Thank you for making this a country where all men are created equal’, and land of the free. A country where people’s voices are heard and we have a say in our government. A place where men can proudly say they live in the United States of America. Where all men can stand united under one red and white striped flag.”

Back of Post Card Doodles

I really had a great time tonight at Grace Christian Fellowship for Mens Fellowship where we had great dinner. We had a testimoni from a really unique Gentleman called Bobby Petrocelli, author, educator, and one of the most sought-after motivational speakers in the country, shares his message with people from all walks of life and every generation. Check out Bobby on www.10seconds.org
I had was moved by his stories his wifes dying, and that thru all that, he gradually eventually god his way, and that thru the faith in Jesus taking all our pains and sins on the cross for us, he was transformed! Well I could not resist to draw him and some of his friends visiting tonight. (don't have his picture) Have a blessed night, and thank You all for everything!
Ohh by they way add your self to my newsletter to be published soon.

Gustav Klimt

Hello to all my friends, I am sorry I have not posted as much as I should be. I would like to share a another great blog writer and artist Chris Oatley and his experience at a Gustav Klimt exhibit "Gustav Klimt: The Magic Of Line featured a hundred face-meltingly awesome Klimt drawings". Where he got inspired in Los Angeles California at his favorite art museum!   When Chris got home he turned his notes into an awesome new blog post.

I know you're gonna love it.

Progress on Christian website

I have been having some real challenges with this project. Alot of up and downs as far as feeling thrilled about it. Most of the work has been spent on the crowd. I went from really hellish type crowd to a more normal somber crowd. I really hope the client is a little happier with the progress. Most of the work was alsospent in the value underpainting, the feet, hands and the crowd was the most time consuming. Here is what I can show for now and I will also show what I did in the crowd before the changes! Have a great week!

Studio Caricatures of Lucas Hillman

When it comes to this awsome guy all I can say is amazing! I have known him about 4 years, and he just grows on me. I always wanted to draw him and while I was waiting in church for my wife to get done with their youth group leaders meeting I saw a really great photo of him (sorry my battery died so I couldn't take a picture of it, soo I mostly finished rendering him from memory) He is the youth leader at my church, and has become a great friend, I had other work I should have been working on but I just had to get to certain point with his sketch. I hope I can revisit this soon, but for now here is Lucas Hillman youth pastor at my church Grace Christian fellowship and great friend! and also read more on my site under: Studio Caricatures
