Retirement gift caricature

This was such an awesome experience to asked  to paint a Illustration, by someone I painted before  for his retirement from the police force in Tampa. This time around the commission iwas for a Donna head of security retiring from Busch gardens. I am proud of it, and I do see details I would like to have done a little more, but I kept within budget!
There is nothing better seeing your printed digital work come out!

Julio's the Baker

I don't usually do art for other fellow employees I work with, but I could not resist to draw the best baker I have ever known Julious. I kept asking me to draw him everyday so I could not resist. I will be doing a phase two on this project of what He wanted to be drawn nude with a big package, I did one like this for his family to see and not sure if I can share on here? I like the looseness but also I think it works. I used Sketchbook Pro for sketching and Photoshop CC for the tones and colors.

David Bowie big fan of his work

I have been working on my children's book and will be finished I hope before Christmas, I had to keep saine and paint something I experimented on. I like keeping the sketch visual, and having some areas more detailed. I have always liked the strange factor of Davids music, and I tried to capture that in his painting. Do all think that the style works and did I really get a likeness?

Robin Williams RIP

This Caricature portrait of the young comedian and actor Robin Williams was in honor of him and his family. It was a great shook to me to hear of his passing, and that he was last one I would have thought dealt with depression. I sketched him in Sketchbook Pro, and colored in Photoshop. It took me about 5-6 hours to paint. I feel so bad for the family he left behind!

John Kascht Artist Painting

John Kascht is the visiting artist at the ISCA Caricature convention in San Antonio Texas this year, and I could not make it this year! I had to at least paint him. While working on this I tried to achieve the water color feel, but with digital tools in photoshop. We had a digital work shop with Jan Optebeck on the ISCA forum, wich I missed but knew I had to get this talented artist a painting of mine! I have more to go, but for now here it is!

Cecelija Den Underbara (the Wonderful) Lidberg

I have been having some big admirers lately liking my work on my facebook fan page http://www.facebook.com/larserartist , but ironically the one girl that has been responding the most is Cecelija Den Underbara (the wonderful in swedish) Lidberg. I decided to draw her because
1) After looking at her facebook page, her eyes and face was really wonderful
2) She has been supporting my art on my fan page!
3) She is also a girl friend to another artist https://www.facebook.com/christian.lisstorpfdekberg or Tag name Jack Nepasha. I grew up admiring his work is Graffiti while growing up in Gothenburg sweden from 1979-89. I knew then I had to do this! Other news to be posted soon I will have some work at a gallery on Redington beach this Saturday and will be working at Pier in ST pete on 4th of July!

Tom Waits Caricature Portraits

Here is a current Caricature Portrait done of Tom Waits for the Caricaturama Showdown group on Facebook. I had fun painting with Acrylics and tried to create a mood that is similar to his blues music. The original is 5-7" on Canvas. To commission your own painting just first check out my website: www.larserarts.com and then either e-mail me or Call any time 727-422-0668. I should have really tried to exaggerated alittle more to be recognized on this group, but maybe I wanted to do more of a portrait this time because I needed more for my portfolio. I hope everyone is doing good, and I always like to keep in touch.
