Retirement gift caricature

This was such an awesome experience to asked  to paint a Illustration, by someone I painted before  for his retirement from the police force in Tampa. This time around the commission iwas for a Donna head of security retiring from Busch gardens. I am proud of it, and I do see details I would like to have done a little more, but I kept within budget!
There is nothing better seeing your printed digital work come out!

Brother and Sister Gift Painting

I was asked by a repeat client to do a painting for her grand children. She is going thru a lot drama in her life and I hope my talents will give her encouragement in her life. She wanted me to include the Bear Mountain in upstate New York in this painting. I got a new commission to do a large Caricature painting for a another repeat client at eagleDatagistics company with 14 employees!
Always fun to see my digital work printed!

Julio's the Baker

I don't usually do art for other fellow employees I work with, but I could not resist to draw the best baker I have ever known Julious. I kept asking me to draw him everyday so I could not resist. I will be doing a phase two on this project of what He wanted to be drawn nude with a big package, I did one like this for his family to see and not sure if I can share on here? I like the looseness but also I think it works. I used Sketchbook Pro for sketching and Photoshop CC for the tones and colors.

Family trip to London England painting

It was great to be asked to recreate a memory a family trip to London England, by one of steady live digital clients. I was first asked to do a portrait Caricature style, but I had make more of traditional portrait style. My favorite part was recreating the English nature with rain, and the way the reference photo was already very colorful.

Need form to have a client fill out, and painting of cousin Siri

Ok so I have client that is having a hard time trying to explain what he wants visually in three commission Illustration pieces wants me to do, is there a form or questions to have my client fill in the blanks? He actually wants me to met in person, but I think it is just better to write down his thoughts.
I attached a painting #gift of my cousin Charlotte Brännsroms new baby Siri. My mother wanted me to do it for her. I did not have much time, but it has a cute factor she wanted. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and I look forward to what next year brings.

4 girls friends forever

I wish I was allotted more time to tweak this piece but budget sometimes does not allow it. I had fun with Illustrating Four friends that have been together since pre school and now are going to separate colleges.

I would really like to hear any feed back on this piece, and I had a great time painting.

Ok I had to do a few minor changes, like a little less cleavage on the two middle girls, add dimples to the third girl, and darker hair on the far right girl. Received a testimonial: "A Picture I expect will bring a lifetime of memories! Thanks Lars!"

Here was the original painting prior to the changes above!

Yes this is my first more serious Illustration project on my new #eacom Cintiq Companion, and I loved working on it!

Become Patreon of my LarsER Arts

I feel as I am getting older and continue see what other artist are doing, sometimes I feel I have been missing out opportunities (Not promoting my work enough?). Maybe because I see them in great magazines, such as Time, Rolling stones, Weekly Standard, or have their art in amazing galleries. I focus my marketing to clients like these, and continue to send post cards and emails in hope to get a hold of the right person and therefore a chance to work with them! I have been approached by the The Workbook, Directory of Illustration, iSpot, and GigMasters, and they all want a major investment which is very hard to fund! (You can now help me on my Patreon site, to help my journey as an artist)

 I really believe these sites and books will help me to be known to these editors and art directors. I get down and out when I do not receive any work sometimes,  and once again cant prove to my family that my freelance illustration career can provide.  I am thankful for my food service job at Brookdale Senior Living, and currently have an opportunity to have a dining room manager position at Pine crest. Constantly I am grateful for my experiences I have with my clients and I always feel happy to be able to make them successful, and to be able make their dreams come true! Personally I feel as if I have been blessed to be able to create my Illustrations and/or entertain with my live Caricatures because God has given me the talent. I work everyday to improve what I do, and if there is anything I can do to help you grow just shot me a message!
Here is some of my current work for a Save a date Card, Childrens book with Arnie, and Caricature gigs with PhilPhest, US Foods, and Sacred Heart Spring Fest.

 Banner Idea to get made soon at a size of 4-8 foot (still working on some of the images are not the right resolution)

The next following Images are sketches for a fun "Save a Date" card for a friend of mine who is getting married and wants an unique Old time classic Sci-Fy style art work done! I am having fun!

   I am now typing this while listening in on a Tuesday morning Bible study with my pastor Randy Evans at my church.
We are talking about a Psalm 19
1             The heavens declare the glory of God;
    the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
    night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
    no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth,
    their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
    It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
    like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
It rises at one end of the heavens
    and makes its circuit to the other;
    nothing is deprived of its warmth.
The law of the Lord is perfect,
    refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
    making wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right,
    giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
    giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is pure,
    enduring forever.
The decrees of the Lord are firm,
    and all of them are righteous.
10 They are more precious than gold,
    than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey,
    than honey from the honeycomb.
11 By them your servant is warned;
    in keeping them there is great reward.
12 But who can discern their own errors?
    Forgive my hidden faults.
13 Keep your servant also from willful sins;
    may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
    innocent of great transgression.
14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
    be pleasing in your sight,
    Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

~May you lord work thru my heart, and help me create my art and relations with my clients, and friends be pleasing to you my Lord, my Rock and My Redeemer~

David Crowder and Associate Pastor Lucas Hillman gift Caricature

I was asked to make a gift including David Crowder musician, and I decided to include my great friend, associate Pastor, and youth leader at my home church at Grace Christian Fellowship at his pulpit in the background. It was his birthday and my wife asked me to do a this for him! He works very hard and I am so thankful for his leadership of my sons spiritual walk with Jesus! I was able to work on this in between other projects. I would like so more time to do some details, but I also wanted to leave it painterly. I am thinking of making prints and using this for my post card promotions, what do you all think is it good enough to use as a promotional material?
