Time for a new year and and a new look

I have been trying to get a new look for awhile now, and with some help from fellow friends I think I got a more simplified logo. I was thinking of doing a new website with squarespace but first I need a new clean and professional look.
I have also included some new self Caricatures and old logo ideas.

Built in a Kilt art work

I was out of my element trying to create a vector image for a new local company called "built in a kilt" I created in all In Photoshop, and then saved in the illustrator vector program with separate layers. (it has been over 20 years since I really have used Illustratir, and yes admit that I need to Lear more on how to color, please chime in if you can help) I can't wait to see the work on my clients van being printed and Laid out my my friend Mike from http://www.signstation.com i will share more soon. Still working on Arnie the Christmas Pig children's book and only 6 more to go and will have finished by November, 5 Illustrations depicting Hell for a book. Mural project starting next week for a underwater scene of 12 family members as sea creatures in an elevator shaft.

Current project on the board (trying to organize myself)

I have not updated my blog in a while so I thought I would just tell you all something that happened and current progress on work.

On a personal note: I made an appointment at the dentist today for a major toothache, then when I left my tooth chipped! ohh man I have to wait till 11am tomorrow! Well stop winning back to work!
On top of my childrens book due in November I have been approached by other jobs such as designing logo and a character for Zen Monkey (this one was a reject just got a little carried away).

I have also received some contract work with General Dynamics to come up with an editorial piece for a website. The Illustration is suppose to show a machine shaping a clouds that data is stored in the internet. This is put to side until I hear back from the client and that gets frustrating balancing everything!

Now I was just approached for a job due on Friday to paint a drug sniffing dogs head on a Vipyr snake. (more to come on that job)

I got contacted to do a Caricature of some new Survivor famous people. I can't say who at this point and will share more soon. I am about 3/4 done with this piece due in the middle of August (so I am going on to the snake project)

It is taking forever on this Contractor Cartoon character I am working on for this advertising agency Think Tank. Now they want the character less edgy, wow it never ends it seems like there are to many people deciding on what the final character should look like!

Monkey project and other current updates

Here is a reject from a client I am trying to make a Monkey for a ZENMONKEY logo. I admit it I got carried away, but loved the image! I will have to go back on the drawing board. The client wants more of a curious George type monkey, sitting in a classic meditation pose with a mischievous look on its face. Ok I admit sometimes I do need some tough waking up, we all live and learn!
I am still working on the Lion SHARED project due at the end of August, Childrens book due in November, and I just received another deposit on a Illustration for a government contract (can't share anything on that one yet!)

Final GF JOE Character...LOVE IT!

I did two versions of GF JOE, one with no Jacket and the other with a chef jacket! :) I really pleased with it. I really think it looks great! Alot of rendering and I did a little more cartoony in the chef hat, makes it funny. The client really had a big chin but wanted it more portrait like. I looked really close at my reference shots. I would like to hears some feed back! He is using the one with a chef jacket!
